Privacy Policy

This policy covers the AkarReka Plan desktop app ("the app") and this website. In short: the app keeps your data on your own computer and in your own Google Drive. AkarReka runs no server and does not collect your data.

Data the app stores on your computer

• Your plan data. Everything you enter in the app (roadmap, ideas, expenses, sales and settings) is saved in a data file on your computer, with daily backup copies beside it.
• Exports. CSV and JSON files you export are saved on your computer.
• Google sign-in token. If you connect Google Drive, the access token that Google issues is saved on your computer in the app's Windows app-data folder.

None of this is sent to AkarReka. The app has no analytics, advertising or tracking.

Google user data

Connecting Google Drive is optional. You sign in on Google's own page in your browser, and the app never sees your Google password.

What the app accesses. The app requests access to your Google Drive (the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive scope). It uses that access only to:

• find or create a folder named AkarReka Receipts in your Drive;
• upload the receipt files you attach to expenses into that folder;
• download a receipt when you open it in the app.

The app does not read, change or delete any other files in your Drive.

How the data is used. Only to provide the receipt feature described above, which you can see and control in the app.

Where the data goes. Directly between your computer and Google's servers. It does not pass through, and is not stored on, any server run by AkarReka.

Sharing. Your Google user data is not shared with, transferred to or sold to anyone. It is not used for advertising, and it is not used to develop or train AI or machine-learning models.

Limited Use. The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Keeping and deleting your data

• Plan data and exports stay on your computer until you delete the files.
• Google sign-in token. Choose Settings, then sign out of Google Drive, to delete the token from your computer. You can also remove the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Receipts stay in the AkarReka Receipts folder in your Google Drive until you delete them there.

Security

The app talks to Google over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your data on your computer is protected by your Windows account, so keep your computer and your Google account secure.

This website

This website is a few static pages. It sets no cookies, has no forms and uses no analytics. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes technical request data such as IP addresses in order to deliver the pages.

Children

The app is a planning and bookkeeping tool and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
